I know, I know…we were a bit technical last time but I wanted to explain some of the basics as to why the “law of attraction” actually works and why I put it into the second level of heaven. There is nothing spiritual about it…it strictly works on the basis of energy signatures binding with those that are attracted to them. When we are able to adjust our own energy signatures then we are essentially able to change the course of our lives as we live them out here on this earth.
Of course, as I keep alluding to it, living life in the second level, although good, is nothing like actually understanding and dwelling in the third. We will get there in due course but the second level has enough to hold our attention at this point. Remember, this is a discussion as much as it is me sharing my thoughts with you…so please leave a comment.
So we must turn our attention to understanding how to actually thrive in the second level of heaven. As I said in the first part of this discussion, so many people actually live most of their lives in the first level…the strictly physical world that we can touch, smell, taste, see and hear with our physical bodies. These same senses actually have a place in the second and third levels as well but we must learn how to use them in order to fully embrace what is available.
When you begin to know and understand what toxicity looks, smells and tastes like in the second level you will be much better able to avoid putting it into your life. Let me give you an example…you have a coworker who does nothing but complain about the work or the environment or the people in your office. When you actually engage with a person like this you will more than likely be taking on their negative energy signatures and much of the toxicity that they bring into their own lives. Before you decide to engage with a person like this you need to start to be able to see this type of a person from a distance and simply stay away. This is the easiest way to deal with this situation. However, if you find yourself in this position temporarily working with a person who is toxic you need to be able to smell and taste the signs of infection from that person. You need to be able to know yourself well enough that at the first signs of that person’s energy transferring to you, you need to be able to deal with it immediately. One of the most important things in being able to fine tune your second level senses is to simply begin to understand who you are, where you are at with your life and deal with yourself in an honest and forthright manner. If you find yourself working side by side with a toxic individual you must question yourself honestly: “Did I draw this type of person to myself because of my own toxic thinking and feeling?” Be brutally honest with yourself and make no excuses. If in fact this person’s energy signature is naturally bonding with your own then you need to start unraveling why. You need to begin to uncover your true, authentic self…because your true authenticity, your true created nature, is your starting point for changing your life in the second and third levels. Next, learn how to live with full integrity. People actually feel it if we are honest or not. Whether they know it in their minds or not is irrelevant. The truth of who we are will ultimately be shown…good, bad or ugly. Learn who you are and use that as a beginning point for change in your life.
If you actually have found your authentic self then there are a couple of things you need to know in dealing with the toxic co-worker. One, you may actually be detoxing yourself…we need to do that from time to time in order to learn how to fully embrace this life. We need to detox physically (I know of some excellent ways of doing this…perhaps to be shared at another time). We need to detox our minds and our emotions as well. There are ways to do this that are very specific…but in general, if you find yourself surrounded by toxic people you need to start severing those ties as much as possible. If you can’t sever those ties then start to change the conversation to things that are beautiful, pure, wholesomely funny and uplifting to yourself and others. The Bible puts it this way: “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:8
As you do these things, you will find that your life will begin to change. At first you will notice an effect of detoxification. It is as if you were a bucket filled up. As you add these things talked about above it will start to replace the toxic things. These toxic things will start to overflow out of the bucket and you will feel the effects. Hang in there because it does not have to be a lengthy process. And, if you do find that things are not working out for you because you are detoxing…simply let that moment in time be exactly what it is…a moment in time that becomes a distant memory just as fast. Move on from one moment to the next embracing what each moment has to offer you. The toxic things in life will have little or no hold on you when you approach things this way. So, as you are dealing with that toxic co-worker, add some positive input into his/her life and let the moment slip away into the past. And seriously, let it go. The past can be ultimately deceitful if you try to hold on to it. Our perceptions and memories typically are not true representations of what the truth actually is…even just moments down the road.
Anyhow, changing these energy signatures is a process but you must start now. If you truly want to live a dynamic life full of adventure you must get started immediately…otherwise, it will never be.
There is so much more to say…but tell me what you think and next time we may dip into the third level a bit or continue a bit with the second. We will see. For now…we are simply living in the present. I actually wrote a poem about living in the present a number of years ago. Perhaps I can dig that up somewhere and post it.

Good Morning! You know it is funny, how certain people come into your life. There have been many instances where some strong personalities have come along and I have been challenged emotionally. However, I get to know them and find out they have some wonderful qualities. As difficult as they may be to deal with, I can’t help loving something about them. It does not change the fact that they can be energy-sapping….but at times something positive happens and in that moment it seems worth the struggle. How do you explain why these people come into my life?
Hello Katherine…none of us truly know the full complexity of our own energy signatures and how they attract people or things into our lives. But here are my thoughts…
We have a general energy about us that tends to ebb and flow a bit with our daily circumstances and how they affect us. To really get a handle on these things we need to learn how to live “above” our circumstances. However, this is a very difficult thing to do because our circumstances continue to affect who we are…which in turn affects our energetics.
Once we start learning how to live in such a manner that our circumstances do not affect us nearly as much we then begin to live “above” our circumstances and have a bit more control over our own energy signature…and thus who or what we attract into our lives.
To complicate matters a bit more…we are also spiritual people and the Bible talks about our spirits as being dead or alive. A “dead” spirit places a constant drain on the whole “system” but it is fairly predictable and easier to “find your energetic stride,” so to speak. I don’t know if that makes sense or not but maybe it might help to look at it this way:
If you lose the use of your right hand…you learn to compensate and you can live a full and rich life that is predictable. On the other hand…if your hand were to work at times and at other times be very spastic and sporadic…that is much more difficult to live with—the predictability is gone and thus the ability to be in control on a conscious or a subconscious level.
So…many people whose spirits have become “alive” fail to understand what it actually means to live in that reality. So…although it is a good thing…it becomes much more difficult to live in the space of understanding energetics. Your energy signature becomes very unpredictable in most cases and then it is hard to “control” our lives.
This is, I believe, one aspect of what the Bible calls living “luke warm lives.” We get connected with the one True God and yet fail to understand the implications of this relationship. God calls us to a life of complete Trust and yet more often than not we struggle to control our own lives. In other words…walking in Trust enables our spirit to settle into a consistent and constant relationship of letting itself be controlled and directed by God Himself.
When the flow of our lives takes place from the Spirit of God through our own spirits and then out into the universe, then our own energy signature reflects that.
Living in this realm all of a sudden creates situations where it no longer becomes about us but our lives start to flow in a river of love being shared to anyone who comes into our lives. The law of attraction becomes something of a redemptive tool because we do attract those people who absolutely need an understanding of the life of love that we have found.
Now…there is one other aspect of this that happens in the mix. That is, God himself intervenes and directs circumstances in such a way (circumventing the natural laws of energy) in order to ultimately bring about a certain purpose that only He knows about.
I don’t know if any of this makes sense or not but it boils down to…there are many possibilities within what I have shared (and I’m sure in areas that I don’t have a clue about as well) that could be playing a part in what you describe.
We so wish life were tidy and easily put into a box…but it just isn’t the case. However…it is impossible to share the many realms of possibility when you are trying to simply focus on one simple aspect of a topic.
I hope this was somewhat helpful…and not totally confusing. It is too hard to even proofread in this tiny box I am writing in…so I am hoping this makes some sort of sense.
